The Kintsugi Project
The Kintsugi Project is a dynamic social enterprise that is focussed on co-creating a community for people with disabilities and mental health difficulties to live the lives they want. They work to develop projects that help people to be in control of and connected to their communities in truly meaningful ways. In Plymouth Kintsugi runs a radio station and outreach project to give people with disabilities a voice on the airways, a community garden to develop green and growing skills, and a community fridge project to tackle food poverty and foster community sharing in Stonehouse.
Pride in Plymouth
Pride in Plymouth is a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC)  that brings people and groups together to celebrate, promote the diversity and talent that exist within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) communities in Plymouth. Together they work towards eliminating the discrimination and social isolation many LGBT people in Plymouth and surrounding area face. Alongside running Plymouth’s famous Pride event, their team of volunteers work through the year on award winning events and projects that bring people together and ultimately improving the services and social scene for all LGBTQ+ people who live, visit, work or study in Plymouth. This includes supporting LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and refugees housed in Plymouth, working with other groups and organisations in the city that support in building a healthy and cohesive community.
